Summer Maintenance Checklist

Summer is here! Long days and warm temperatures. Home maintenance is likely the last thing on your mind, which is why we’ve created this handy list!

Change your furnace filter (monthly)

• Oil garage door opener spring & chain

• Clean kitchen exhaust fan filter

• Clean refrigerator & freezer coils - clean behind and under the fridge

• Seal basement from potential water intrusion

• Replace thermostat batteries

• Clean out garage

• Switch ceiling fan blade direction to counter-clockwise

• Wash the windows

• Hose down AC unit

• Inspect the roof & chimney

• Pest control - check exterior for places they could get in

• Exterior painting (as needed)

• Brick tuckpointing - (as needed)

• Tighten all bolts on outdoor play equipment (if applicable)

• Seal coat asphalt driveways (every few years)
